UV Curing Paints
UVICOAT # 8000
UVICOAT # 8000 is a pigmented U.V. radiation, dual curable paint based on modified acrylic. It provides non-yellowing, excellent adhesion, scratch and abrasion resistance, staining resistance, very good chemical and mechanical property.
Designed to be used as topcoat for high quality furniture, plywood and floor panels, MDF etc.

Density: 1.1 ± 0.05 kg/liter
Viscosity: 30 – 50 sec.
Solid content: 61 – 69 %
Coverage: 100 – 120 gms/m2
Flash-off time: 5 – 7 min.
Process: TL03 + TL05 (low pressure)
Curing: 1 lamp Hg + 1 lamp Ga
Belt Speed: 6 – 7 m/min., Distance (15 cm-lamp)
Application condition: Air temperature 5ºC min, Relative humidity 85% max
Pot life: 10 days (at least)

Sandability: After UV oven
Thinner ratio: Thinner # 445 (20-30%)

- Substrate should be free from contaminant such as oil , dust etc.
- Moisture content of timber should be kept below 15 percent.
- Surface to be coated should be primed with UVIPRIME # 4000 or any suitable U.V. Curing Primer.
- UVICOAT # 8000 has to be cured by two (2) lamps (1 Ga + 1 Hg).
UVICOAT # 8000 WHITE contains non dangerous solvents, nevertheless use protective gloves and eye goggles when handling this product. It is recommended to provide proper ventilation on working area. If contact with skin or splash in eyes, wash with fresh water and seek medical advice.
Store in the dark, cool and dry places under normal temperature and humidity. Shelf life of 4 months at 300C room temperature.
