UV CURING PAINTS
UVICOAT #1000
UVICOAT #1000 is a pigmented acrylate polyether-based U.V. radiation-curable paint. It provides fast curing, excellent adhesion, scratch and abrasion resistance, staining resistance, very good chemical and mechanical property.
Designed to be used as a topcoat for high-quality furniture, plywood and floor panels etc.

Viscosity – 150” (FC # 4 @ 250C)
Solid Content – 98%
Flash Point – >600C
Coating Rate – 40 – 60 g/m2
Curing speed – 9-10 m/min. – 2-3 lamps: irradiation – Distance: 15cm – 1 lamp Hg+1 lamp – Ga.
Application Condition – Air temperature 50C min. – Relative humidity 85% max
Application Method – Reverse Roller
Dilution – Not required
- Substrate should be free from contaminant such as oil and dust etc.
- The moisture content of timber should be kept below 15 per cent.
- Surface to be top coated with UVICOAT #1000 should be primed with UVIPRIME #1000
- The curing process requires 2 lamps (1Hg+1Ga.)
