RED OXIDE PRIMER is specially designed as an adhesion primer for iron and steel based on modified alkyd resin pigmented with red iron oxide suitable for interior and exterior use. It is suitable for the protection of structural steelwork and other metalwork where an economical finish with good anti corrosion is required.

Great attention should be paid to correct surface preparation, as this is the single most important step in the painting sequence. Prior to painting, ensure that all traces of grease, dust, oils, and grit are completely removed. All loose and flaking material should be removed by scraping and wire brushing. Bare steel, partly corroded should be removed by blast cleaning (ISO-SA 21/2).
Touch Dry – 4 – 6 hours
Hard Dry – 16 – 24 hours
Painting Interval – 24 hours
For brush application, used a food quality of brush to achieve best results.
For roller application, a short pile sheepskin roller is recommended.
