PU PRIMER #253 WHITE is a polyurethane pigmented undercoat based on saturated polyesters and selected pigments. A two-component material with outstanding characteristics, filling well pores of all types of woods which reduces the number of coats required. It has a low VOC which conforms within the maximum limit of Annex II, Phase II, Table A of European. Directive 2004/42/EC:2004

Application Method – Auto or Conventional Spray
Recommended Catalyst – Catalyst #004 LV
Thinner – PU Thinner #105/205
Mixing ratio (%wt.) – Spray visc. =13 – 15”, Base 100, Cat. 50, Thinner 20-25, Pot Life 2 – 3 hours
Drying time – Dust-free 20 – 30 min., Touch-free 35 – 45 min., Recoat 1 – 2 hrs., Hard 48 hrs., Sandable 2 – 3 hrs.
Coverage – 7 – 8 m2/L
- To the surface, well prepared, apply 1-2 coats of PU PRIMER #253 WHITE with Catalyst #004. Vertically and horizontally.
- Fill all cracks, deep holes and joints with polyester putty.
- Sand the surface with medium-grade sandpaper
- Apply 1-2 coats of PU PRIMER #253 WHITE prior to the final sanding and top coating.
- Recoating must be done within 3 minutes to 3 hrs. maximum. Medium sanding with 240-320 grit sandpaper is recommended prior to any subsequent coatings.
