PU Parquet Sealer

PU PARQUET SEALER is a two component sanding sealer based on plasticizing saturated polyester to provide a hard and flexible (even in high thickness application) basecoat for wood especially for parquet and wooden floors.

Keep away from heat and fire. Store in the dark, cool and dry place. Shelf life up to 12 months in closed container.
PU PARQUET SEALER does not contain dangerous solvents; nevertheless, good ventilation in working rooms is recommended as well as the use of safety tools and equipment. PU PARQUET SEALER is flammable and harmful if swallowed. If contact with eyes or skin occurs, wash well with fresh water and seek immediate medical advice.
Designed to be used as basecoat for semi open pore, high quality furniture and timber window, wood floors, and parquets.

Application Condition:

  • Air Temperature – 5 -35°C
  • Relative Humidity – 85% max.

Application Method – Brush, Spray, Roller

Recommended Catalyst – Catalyst #075

Thinner – PU Thinner #105/ 205

Mixing Ratio – Base 100 – Cat. 50 – Thinner 25-30

Pot Life – 3 – 4 hrs.

Drying Time (25°C)

  • Dust Free – 20 – 25 mins.
  • To Touch – 30 – 45 mins.
  • To Recoat – 2 – 3 hrs.
  • Hard Dry – 24 – 36 hrs.
  • Sandable – 1 – 2 hrs.

Coating Rate – 6 – 8 m²/L

Recoating Interval – Min. of 30 min – max. 3 hrs. Light sanding with 400-600 grit sand paper is recommended before subsequent coat when recoating exceeds 3 hrs.

  • Mixing ratio should be correctly observed.
  • Paint should be used within the pot life after components have been mixed together. Pot life decreases at higher temperature.
  • Bubbling due to 4 – 5 coat within relatively short time likely to occur in summer. 1 – 2 thin initial coat and longer recoating interval (50 – 60 min.) eliminates bubbling.
  • Never leave the catalyst open.
