Recoating
One coat may be sufficient for ordinary finish however; one additional coat can be applied wet on wet if necessary. Light sanding with 400-600 mesh sand paper is recommended before subsequent coat when recoating time exceeds 3 hours and remove traces of wax.
Recommended Under Coat
PU Sanding Sealer, Prime Seal or Polyester-based Sealer.
The surface to be top coated should be primed with either Polyurethane or Polyester Sealer.
It should be cleaned, well-sanded and free from dust, oil water and other contaminants.
To a well-prepared surface, apply 1 coat of PERMACOAT MATT CLEAR, horizontally and vertically.
To obtain a perfect finish coat, sand again with a fine sand paper and repeat the top coating process.
To achieve a consistent gloss level, it is extremely important to mix Part A well before each application, preferably using a long spatula. If light tinting of the topcoat is required, use Dyes Series 15000.
In summer or tropical areas use slow drying Thinner 305 or addition of 5% Retarder 345 is advisable.
