It is ideal to use as a final coat for classic style decoration finish on wall surfaces. It protects steel gates and fences and similar iron fittings against climate aggressiveness. Also for wood and plastics.
To obtain the best aesthetic effect and quality results, we suggest following our application recommendations.
New Concrete Walls:
The wall must be fully dry without an alkaline substance and it should be smooth. Otherwise, scrape with PVA Wallfiller, the sand with 180 grit sandpaper. Apply one (1) coat of MAS Masonry Primer prior to the application of Mastex Premium by stainless steel trowel, sponge/brush or roller to obtain a classical effect and top coated with MAS Ferro by brush or roller.
New Wood:
Application of Undercoat Enamel, apply one (1) coat of MAS PVA Wallfiller (if necessary) and sand it with sandpaper to obtain a smooth finish. Apply one or two (1-2) coats of MAS Ferro with an interval of 5 – 6 hours at room temperature.
Old Wood, Old Iron:
(Previously painted with alkyds and P.U. paints). Smoothen with 280 – 300 grit sandpaper to facilitate the adhesion of alkyd-based primer and then the MAS Ferro.
New Iron:
Smoothen the surface with sandpaper. Remove traces of oil, grease and other contaminants. Apply one (1) coat of Standard Deruster. Apply one (1) coat of alkyd-based primer prior to the application of two (2) coats of MAS Ferro.
Light Alloys:
Remove grease and smooth the surface and apply a coat of adequate primer. Apply the desired coat of MAS Ferro to create a unique and classical decorative finish.

Temperature for application:
Apply MAS Ferro at a temperature higher than 50C but not more than 400C.
Drying:
Dust dry after 1 hour at 200C and dries in 3 hours. Hardens after 24 hours depending on the room temperature.
Resistance:
The elastic film obtained after a complete drying is shock and abrasion-resistant.
Scrub Resistance:
As per ASTM D 2486 is > 1200 cycles.
Washing Resistance:
It resists alcohol, water and common soaps.
Fire Reaction:
Negative when the product is applied onto a non-inflammable surface.
