A.C. LACQUER
A.C. LACQUER is an amino varnish cured by the action of mild acid formulated with outstanding characteristics of body and hardness. The film is hard, well flowing and excellent adhesion to recommended undercoats.

A.C. LACQUER has a wide range of application in the finishing of chairs and furniture. Due to its amino chemical composition, A.C. LACQUER is not fast to weathering and therefore its use is restricted to indoor items.
Appearance – Clear and pigmented
Specific Weight – 0.96 – 1.20 kg/L
Viscosity @ 25ºC – 30 sec. FC #4
Gloss @ 600 – 90 / 50 / 30
Application condition – Air temperature 5 – 35ºC, Relative humidity 85% max.
Method of Application – Spray and Curtain Coating
Thinner – Thinner 105/115/215
Dilution – Base 9, Catalyst 1, Thinner 15-20%
Pot Life @ 25ºC
Dust-Free 10 – 12 min
Hard dry 12 – 24 hrs.
Recoat 2 hrs.
Coverage – 8-10 m2/L (100-120 g/m2)
Recommended Basecoat – PU Sealer /Primer, A.C. Lacquer can be used.
- Paint should be used within the pot life after components have been mixed together.
- The mixing ratio should be strictly adhered to as any variation can result in poor drying and slow curing.
- Due to the sensitivity of the material to water, their use in very humid temperature must be avoided.
- Since the curing agent is made from a strong acid, metal containers and tools might be affected by this phenomena.
Note: the sheen will vary with coating thickness and substrate.
