Maslux #177 vertical
MASLUX #177 VERTICAL is an unsaturated thixotropic polyester hardened with the aid of catalyst and accelerator. It is developed for vertical application that requires a perfectly dry, sandable and brilliant glass – like finish.
It is recommended for doors, frames, wood, veneers and furniture items.

Gel time @30°C – 20 – 25 minutes
Hard 30°C – 5 – 6 hours
Buffing and Polishing – 48 hours
Mix MASLUX #177 VERTICAL with 2% Accelerator before mixing 2% Catalyst.
In most application, no thinning is required. If necessary, 3 – 5 % of polyester thinner # 125 during winter and polyester thinner #145 during summer is recommended.
Mix certain amount of MASLUX #177 VERTICAL that can be consumed within the pot-life (gel-time) of the mixture.

Surface to be coated must be properly prepared and free from oil and other contaminants.
For MDF and OAK woods that contain oil. It is recommended to apply 1 – 2 coats of Isolator #185 and Isolator #100 for veneer and white woods.
Apply MASLUX #177 VERTICAL at a rate of 300 gms/m2 per coat. Repeat the process until desired thickness.
