New Steel:
Metal surfaces should be free from grease, oil and other contaminants. Grit blasting is much preferred to wire brushing and other methods of abrasion. Immediately after blasting the surface should be primed with EPOXY ZINC CHROMATE PRIMER.
Repair and Maintenance:
Remove oil and grease, etc. with suitable detergent. Remove salts and other contaminants by (high pressure) fresh water cleaning. Clean damaged area thoroughly by power tool cleaning or by abrasive blasting Sa 2½. Touch up to full film thickness.
Mix Resin A and hardener homogenously as per specified ratio. Manual mixing is applicable for small quantity but mechanical mixing with low RPM is much preferred. Let it stand for 10 – 15 minutes prior to application.
